Travis J. Benn is Senior Corporate Counsel for D+H, a technology company serving the needs of financial institutions. He is a graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, where he obtained a B.A. in English, and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill School of Law. He has been a practicing attorney in the Portland area since 2003. Travis’s practice focuses on corporate and intellectual property law. Travis has been an active member of the Executive Committee of the Computer and Internet Law Section of the Oregon State Bar for several years.

Dave Bourgeau is an IP attorney in the Portland offices of Kolisch Hartwell, PC. Dave spent fifteen years as an engineer, first as an officer in the U.S. Navy and then at major companies like Ford Motor Company and FedEx Ground. Now, he’s a patent lawyer who works with leaders and innovators to identify and secure their rights under copyright, patent, trademark and trade secret law.
Dave handles prosecution of intellectual property rights as well as enforcement and litigation support. Having spent years working in the automotive, shipping, and food industries, he has a deep understanding of business. His background includes industrial engineering, nuclear engineering, mechanical and electrical systems, manufacturing, business intelligence, data analysis, software application development, process design, project management, root cause analysis, and complex planning.

Leigh is an attorney at Immix Law Group, a Portland, Oregon business law firm. Prior to joining the Bar, Leigh’s first career was in software, where he worked as a consultant, project manager and account manager. Leigh’s practice focuses on IP transactions, strategy, and on general business matters for growth companies and creatives. Leigh joined the executive committee of Computer and Internet Law Section (now the Technology Law Section) in 2014. Originally from San Diego, he lived in Santa Cruz and Los Angeles before finally breaking the hold of California and finding the greener pastures of Oregon.

Scott Schneider is a Procurement Supervisor for the City of Portland, Oregon. He earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Scott’s career began in Boise, Idaho in the grocery retail industry, where he worked as a strategic sourcing manager of corporate services. His work today focuses on the procurement and contracting of technology-related goods and services, citywide.

Robert Swider is the managing partner of Swider Haver. He was admitted to practice law in the State of Oregon in 1982. He holds a JD from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College and received his BA from Seton Hall University in 1975. He is a member of the bars of the US District Court Oregon, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Swider has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years. During which time he has been involved in all aspects of state and federal court civil litigation concerning intellectual property, copyright law, trademark law, computer and internet law, unfair trade practices, electronic commerce, general business, complex litigation and personal injuries. Mr. Swider has received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale and Hubble, which is a testament to the fact that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. Mr. Swider represents individuals and businesses primarily in matters involving intellectual property, real property and business issues. In addition to advising clients he is the head of the firm’s litigation department. His community service activities include volunteering for the Oregon Robotics Tournament and Outreach Program (ORTOP) for whom he has volunteered in various capacities for FIRST Lego League (FLL) and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC). He is the former Chair of the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Computer and Internet Law Section now the Technology Law Section and has served multiple terms as a board member and Chair of that Committee since 1989. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Business Litigation Section. He has written and spoken extensively on legal issues related to computer and internet law, technology issues, software and other areas concerning intellectual property.

Alex is the Privacy Counsel to Marketo, the world’s leading business-to-business engagement platform. He was recently the lead Counsel and Global Privacy Officer for RADAR, Inc. a SaaS company based in Portland, Oregon that develops an data incident response management platform. Alex has also founded and run a law firm focused on advising businesses on privacy and technology-related legal issues, has been general counsel for other SaaS businesses, and has been a litigation attorney for several years in Manhattan at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson. Alex has a B.A. in International Studies from Colby College and a J.D. from the University of Maine. He holds several CIPP certifications and has been designated a Fellow of Information Privacy by the IAPP.
