In this informative presentation, we’ll explore Oregon’s emerging legal landscape on artificial intelligence. We’ll cover key recent AI legislation and DOJ guidance, and—through practical scenarios—show how new legal issues, compliance risks, and ethical questions arise for tech-focused practitioners.

As a founder of the AI Governance Group, she equips organizations – from global, established companies to growth ventures – with practical frameworks for responsible, ethical AI adoption, protecting their workforce, intellectual property, and brand reputation. Janet’s expertise is grounded in decades of executive leadership across technology, marketing, edtech, financial services, and real estate sectors.
An experienced authority on AI ethics, Janet currently serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University, where she teaches executive and professional workshops on the real-world implications of AI, emerging risks, and effective communications.
