She advises clients with respect to licensing strategy\, creating contract templates\, and instituting tooling\, processes\, and policies for IP-related compliance. She established her practice in 2017 and before that she was the lead product counsel for ServiceNow and managed the open source compliance function at VMware. \n  \nKate is a graduate of Columbia Law School and a current board member of the PolyForm Project and a member of the Blue Oak Council.
