CLE: How is Business Dealing GDPR and CCPA?

This interactive roundtable discussion will review the state of privacy compliance and explore the impact GDPR and the anticipated CCPA rollout are having on businesses of all sizes.

Alex J. Wall, is Privacy Counsel for Adobe where he supports the Digital Experience business units, including the Marketo platform. Over the past 11 years, Alex has also been Privacy Counsel to Marketo; Global Privacy Officer and lead counsel for RADAR (data breach assessment engine and incident management platform); a privacy, business and technology attorney; General Counsel for a small SaaS company; and an attorney on commercial, securities, anti-trust, bankruptcy and IP litigation at the Fried Frank law firm in Manhattan.  Licensed in Oregon and New York, Alex holds several certifications in privacy from the IAPP, is a designated Fellow of Information Privacy, and is an occasional author and speaker on privacy law topics.

Amanda Gratchner, is a privacy attorney at IdeaLegal, a boutique business, privacy and intellectual property firm in Portland. She counsels clients on the creation and development of global privacy compliance programs including the development of policies, procedures and training, and drafting and negotiating privacy and security related agreements.

Xavier Clark, is an attorney in the technology practice at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt. Xavier brings unique experience working at the intersection of legal issues and the technology industry. Proficient in most commonly used regulatory frameworks, Xavier leverages his prior in-house experience focusing on privacy, security and commercial contracting for companies in the technology and healthcare industries. He enjoys helping clients understand and comply with their obligation for the proper handling and use of data in day-to-day business operations.

Moderator: Aaron Cronan, manages the practice at Cronan Law. Aaron focuses on small to medium business clients as they transition from scrappy startups to mature businesses. Aaron has a background in information security and ediscovery. In particular, Aaron enjoys working on all things trademark, drafting transactional agreements and helping clients resolve business disputes. Aaron is licensed in Oregon and California.
